What is Lakdi Ghana ?

Lakdi Ghana (also known as wooden press or cold-pressed oil) refers to a traditional oil extraction method where seeds are pressed using a wooden pestle (known as ghana) to extract oil. In this process, seeds like groundnut, sesame, or coconut are crushed at low speeds using a wooden press, which generates very little heat. This cold-pressing technique preserves the oil's natural nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants, unlike modern mechanical extraction methods that use high heat and chemicals.
